25% is the best I've seen. Normally 2x$20 for $30 or $50 card for $40.

Thanks guys, I just scored $140 extra iTunes credit for the school, and $70 for myself- Christmas gifts all round this year :D

From memory the BP in greenlane had 2 $20 for $30 when I was last in, and the sign indicated it was on till January - you could check to see if it's nationwide?

i've seen that same dal at a local Mobil recently...maybe it's a ploy to get people spending on iTunes over the holiday?

My local new world supermarket in Wellington has the regular 2*$20 cards for $30 dollar deal until 5 January.

(although the fine print of the offer has this gem "Does not apply to app store cards"-
hmm, they have eyes,  but do not see)

I was under the impression that they could be used for any purchases via the itunes store, for electronic downloads. Even on apple website it says quote

When you give iTunes Gift Cards and iTunes Gifts, the lucky recipients can choose whatever they want on the iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore and Mac App Store

Chaffers,

also  @mattwnz, I know,

but I am guessing the store has two SKUs,  one for itunes cards and one for app store cards,

The memo on the specials would have said "itunes cards" are on special, so the well paid store staff would have done what they were told, I'm fairly sure one of the bright young things in the store would have raised this point , but mgmt would have said, the memo only said itunes cards, :)

Thanks, I didn't realise there were two different types. Just checked mine, and luckily mine look like they can be used for everything, not just music or apps. Can't really understand why they have different cards, as cash is used to purchase them.

Thanks for the info, just got a few $20 iTune cards from BP Swanson (2x$20 for $30).

I believe the discount is nationwide because the price was printed on standard BP promotion material.

The latest junk mail catalogue from Countdown is advertising 20% off all iTunes App Store Gift Cards ("prices apply in-store from Monday 10 to Sunday 16 February 2014 and online from Saturday 8 to Friday 14 February 2014").
