iPhone 14Pro - I've been on it since Beta and it's fine

My wife would say that describing something as "fine" is the worst

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

Behodar:

Apple's going down the dark path of "dark patterns" at the moment. iOS 18.7.3 is out, with security updates, but if you just go to Software Update then it won't show up. Nope, you need to opt into getting betas (even though it isn't a beta) and only then will it give you the option to download the update. I suspect if/when 18.7.4 goes into beta, the option to download 18.7.3 will disappear.

Well, 18.7.4 is now available, but it'll only show up if you're on a phone that can't run 26. So even if you're on 18.7.3, you don't get the 18.7.4 security update.

Hmmmm.

Have just noticed I’m getting double texts from non-iPhones. Hopefully it’s just teething issues with the IOS settling in……

Occasionally face this issue with some Android phones. In every case I've seen, it's been an issue on the senders side.

I’ve had the camera app lock up a lot lately. It will open and work for about half a second but the lens does a refocus, image goes completely blurry then locks up.

can only fix by turning the phone off n off n again

None so far.
I do find the ios26 call screening to be too good sometimes. Generally I feel nothing good can come of an unknown number but occasionally I do miss a timely call answer. Case in point yesterday a delivery truck. Luckily I caught him in time.

I read a range of issues such as

Apple Maps is losing saved places and favourites. Face ID authentication gaps in third-party apps.

Control Centre and HomeKit triggers are not responding as expected.

Irregular storage reporting followed by sudden spikes or drops.

Severe cases of apps crashing or the phone rebooting repeatedly.

I'm not having any problems, except that training load in the Fitness app is still randomly failing to load. This has been an ongoing problem for months.

This has always been the case on iOS. Not saying it's ok, but it's not new.
