Ok that's odd after reading this thread on Sunday I tested that the alarm was working again properly. Reset my alarms to proper time not 1 hr late. Went off fine yesterday but this morning it went off 1 hr early again

why not change to a third party alarm app like the one from www.ihandysoft.com
I've been using it for months now without a problem.

I must confess it wasn't all plan sailing for me ... After testing on Sunday that the issue was resolved with a new recurring alarm, I reset my original recurring alarm to the correct time ...

Imagine my shock when I got woken up one hour early again on Monday morning! And I had no idea which time to reset it to ... doh!!! It appears that because I was still using an alarm that had been first setup prior to all the issues, the phone was still confused.

Since then I deleted the original recurring alarm ... and any / all new ones I create do appear to work perfectly at the correct time.

Yea after getting woken at 6 I deleated all my alarms them made new ones seems to be ok now.

Shouldent have to use a 3rd party alarm app the "built in" one has worked fine got the last 3 years.

I've managed to find a happy place with my recurring alarms now. My alarm was going off an hour early as with other people. I tried deleting them and resetting which also didn't work. What does work though is setting the alarm 2 minute different than it was previously set. So originally it was set for 6.10 and started waking me at 5.10. But now I've set it for 6.12 and it works fine. It will do until the fix comes out.

This bug is so inconsistent, i have tried all of the things listed here and in other forums and i get a different result every time! the biggest issue is that the problem has been fixed by any of them!

It seems it wasn't New Zealand only affected by bad configuration/coding/whatever: iPhone bug makes Europeans late for work.

And you would think Apple would have fixed it by now, now that's poor.

Apple just released iOS 4.2 to registered developers. This (apparently) has the fix in it. It should be out to the general public in about a week, unless developers find something majorly wrong.

Did iOS 4.2 fix this?  Or did it just come right after 7 November?  See http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3542.
