rokki: Iphone 6+ 128gb for me with an Apple watch to come :)

you would pay $1449.00 for a phone . Sorry i dont get it.

Many will be businesses or purchased for them for business, so they get the gst back and can write them off after a few years. Also many will be on contracts so will be a lot cheaper than the outright price. A watch though maybe more difficult to claim as a business expense.

Worth the wait for the announcement. I want the 64GB grey 6 plus.

Anyone in the market for a Note 3?

dickytim: Last comment, does everyone else think the protruding camera is begging to have a case on the phone? I think the first thing I'll get when mine arrives is a nice case.

This is a definite downside for me, as I don't like having a case on my phone, but I do often place it face-up on a desk.

I don't think the watches looks all that bad. Apple nailed it on the variety, there's there 'types' of watches with multiple watch faces and bands for each. It's also pretty much the first watch that's been designed with women in mind too. It's nice, but probably also jarring for some people, that 20-30 something males aren't the exclusive target of this like they are with the 360 and other android wear watches (realistically).

Also, 128GB finally!!! Wish they'd made 32GB standard though..

The cover glass for the lens is sapphire crystal isn't it? Can't see that getting scratched too easily. I've had 3 iPhones to date and I can't bring myself to cover them them up with any sort of case.

Krishant007: I was wondering if anyone knows if the USA unlocked iPhone 6 would work here in NZ on the LTE bands. As far as I know, yes cz all iPhones are made for all markets and are not really region dependent.

But worth a check

Warning mate, (and I have confirmed this with Apple Support).
ONLY iPhones purchased in NZ stores or the Online Apple NZ Store are eligible for NZ Apple Support.

I wanted to get one on Friday (Preorder) in Australia and get it sent to a friends place.

To get Support on it, I would have to send it back , then call them in AUS.

Pain in the ass.

They said (and I asked him to check the info, to be sure) that the international replacement only is valid in countries that have an apple retail store.
If not, its phone support / online support, and valid for the country of purchase.

im bummed about that :(

Although they are available for preorder  on the 26th, I can almost promise you will see a 3-4 delivery time.
I assume this is to let the Telco's sell contract only phones.
Usually the delivery of ordered iphones coincides with the telcos selling them outright

So at worst Im looking at a October mid month delivery.

Not too bad I suppose

You don't have to get it, I get the base model for free with my contract and pay the difference and then i can sell my 5S on tardme. I am an Apple fanboy. its how i like to roll :)

i know but a nexus 5 is  $1000 less for much the same phone, You have to love Apple marketing .

Nexus 5 (or any other non-Apple device) doesn't have the Apple eco-system behind it. Is that worth $1000? Probably not, although it's heading that way now imo, but either way, going just on phone price alone is not an apples with apples comparison.

Indeed. While it probably wouldn't cost $1000 for me to re-buy all my apps, it's more than $0.

I currently have a 4S and previously had a Nexus One. My 4S is the first phone that I've felt does a good job as opposed to just a passable job... and I think it's the longest I've ever kept a phone.

$950 plan rebate, so would I spend $499 for a phone? Hell yes.

I can likely sell my Iphone5 64gb for nearly that, or I can hand it down and get a couple of hundy for my Iphone4 32GB.

Either way that means outlaying $300 at worst. Personally I don't think I need a 128GB so drop that to $1299 so at worst I am going to outlay $150 for a new phone. Got to love Apple resale values!

What happens if you buy Apple Care for it?
