Owenmeasure, I thought youcancelled your apple order and went and bought it at dse or something?

Anyway, all my apple orders are shipped via TNT but end up being delivered by NZC. Guess they handle it in my area. My lightning adaptor shipped from Sydney and arrived two days later.

Btw my iphpne5 orders are to be delivered on 26th or later, and still in processing items stage. They'll get here when they get here I guess.

OwenMeasures:How it going for you?

Mine shipped from Sydney today, still saying not found on TNT website! How long did yours take the change?

Still waiting. Called TNT who said it was in the driver's van and would be delivered by 5pm. 6 minutes to go and our Mailroom shuts the doors for the night. Might have to wait until tomorrow, I think.

Edited to add: Can't remember when my order tracker was visible. I think it was the following day, but then it only showed as shipped right before I went to bed, so the info was there when I got up the next morning.

My was Shipped as of 02:44 this afternoon, so 12:44 AUS time...

What did your tracking info change to that next morning?

P.s. Everyone i have an XBOX 360 for sale is anyone interested?

I still don't know how you can tell yours is coming from Sydney, since the Apple order tracking web site doesn't tell you where it is coming from.

Apple's "shipped" status initially means "package is ready for pickup by the courier". The TNT web site will show tracking info (including where it was shipped from) after they collect it from Apple and it is scanned into their system.

The three parts of my latest order which came from Sydney were first mentioned on the TNT web site with times ranging from 14:30 to 18:16 Sydney time, so 16:30 to 20:16 NZDT. If your one really is coming from Sydney, I'd expect it to appear on the TNT tracker in the next three hours.

If it is actually coming from China, add three hours to get the approximate latest pickup time for the courier.

My first status was "shipment collected from sender" followed about an hour later by "shipment in transit" and then an hour after that "shipment received at transit point." That was when it arrived in Hong Kong. Then "in transit" again from Hong Kong to Auckland, and strangely the next update was straight to "out for delivery" although nothing to say the shipment had arrived here before that.

Anyway, doors to the office are all shut now, no couriers can get in, so it looks like tomorrow for me.

Edited to add: TNT status has changed to "time constraint prevented delivery, deliver at earliest opportunity" which means that they've been driving around Auckland all day with it in their van. Frustrating, but what can you do? At least I can be sure it's coming tomorrow. I start work at 11am so hopefully it'll be on my desk when I arrive.

Do apple normally ship midway through their estimate date? My lightening cable was marked to ship 23/10 to 30/10, but no notification yet. I thought they always try to beat their estimate?

I expect the mobile alerts work the same as e-mail notifications. Apple doesn't send a notification for "preparing to ship", but they do when it ships.

Fingers crossed, your adapter should arrive tomorrow; if not, then definitely Thursday.

I suppose the DSE stores (in Wellington area) that had iPhone 5s available for outright purchase have all sold out by now?

Me too, actually. At Telecom on the open plan. So what's this order shipping from Sydney? I'm confused.

Just so everyone on the Telecom Open Plan knows, you can cancel already. I called up the day after I got mine and asked to have it cancelled. Will see what I get charged at the end of the month.

I got the open term plan from telecom, cancelled it that night on their website and received my bill today for a total of $0. win.

Haha, awesome!

My phone is back on the road again today. Picked up at 7.08, along with a spare power adapter I ordered for my son's iPod, that came in from Sydney over the weekend, and apparently sat in the outwards goods bay all day yesterday (according to the TNT person I spoke to when I rang at around 4pm).

They generally release a new model every year at around this time.

The Eagle has landed!

I have my phone, came in at 11am. Absolutely pristine out of the box. I got someone to film the unboxing in case there were scuffs, but it was fine. I inspected the bezel very carefully. I've popped in the sim, applied the screen protector and cased it immediately. Can't set it up until I get home, sadly. But it looks nice on my desk. Smile Just have to call Vodafone to swap my number to the new sim now.
