My shipment has a black and a White :) I don't think colour will have much of a bearing. Probably just depends on which line happens to be personally better at any one time (including factors like hiccups, order numbers etc).

My shipment was originally to be delivered
From 29th, but silently shifted to 26th. It's still in transit from hong kong at this stage.

Had a good mate of minegesture to have a look at the phone so I passed it over and he was so clumsily careful with it he dropped it as he put it down on a desk.

Phone's fine, but dooh.

IsThisOneGood: Mine is still in hong kong. Anybody know if TNT updates over the weekend?

They did for one of my adapters which shipped from Sydney on a Friday and made progress on both Saturday and Sunday, then was delivered on Monday.

My iPhone delivery changed to "in transit" about 10 pm NZ time (yesterday), showing it was heading out of Hong Kong around 5 pm HK time, so yours will probably do the same today, assuming flight times are the same each day.

Yours should arrive in Auckland either during the weekend or on Monday. If it gets to Auckland early enough you might receive it on Monday, but Tuesday is a safer bet.

More evidence of separate pallets for the batch including my order: my brother's iPhone now shows "in transit" in Auckland as of 12:19 today, but mine and my friends (which I think are on the same pallet) are still in transit from Hong Kong. I expect the flight from Sydney to Auckland didn't have enough room for both pallets and my one will arrive on a later flight.

I went to Telecom today and apparently North Island stores are out of white 32G. Went on to the Skinny website to order it, 2 hours later got an email to say it's dispatched already! Let's see if it beats the 3-4 weeks quoted from Apple. At least I don't have to waste half an hour signing up to Telecom just to cancel my account straight afterwards.

Aren't handsets sold by Skinny SIM-locked?

I thought you could pay $30 to get them unlocked or has that changed? Crapola

My telecom account has arrived with the $29 fee for the plan to pay BUT it also has a $13 amount on it, bringing it to $42! No idea what the is $13 is for, not that clear. I am phoning before the end of the month to cancel the plan anyway so will ask!

I'd say that's probably the part month charge.

The $29 is there for the full billing month. There will also be a part month from the day you were connected to the end of the billing cycle you are on. The billing cycles doesn't start when you connect, they are spread evenly across the 30 day month for all customers to allow evenly spread billing numbers for nightly overnight processing.

tdgeek and bonkiebonks are on the money.. It's the pro-rata billing to get your billing cycle in sync. Should be credited back when you cancel.

Telecom have a pretty good help page that explains it http://telecom.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2947/

Reminds me that I need to call and cancel mine as well.

Ohhhh yes, that makes sense! Thanks for that. Is anyone else going through their data quite fast?

My 16gb White arrived today (ordered from Apple Store at about 9am on the day it became available). It's noticeably lighter and thinner than my 4S, the screen size isn't as noticeable as I expected although the colors look nicer.

Glad I got it as a freebie from work as I would have struggled to justify spending the money myself even if I can get $600ish for my 4S on TradeMe.

My replacement iPhone 5 has a dead pixel! I took it to the Telecom store (the same one that swapped out the one I had with a bad rattle) and they said they would have to send it away to get 'looked at', with a crappy temporary phone.

I am heading to Aussie tomorrow so will pop into an Apple store to see if I can get them to fix it for me (or swap it) in store. Not really keen to send it away for a week or so!
