mine sucks! ordered 12th of November from telecom and not yet arrived.
making me anxious :(

are you sure it hasnt arrived?
because i called telecom yesterday and asked them when my iphone would arrive and was told next week so was a bit mad, when i got home i saw the courier left the redelivery card, they redelivered it today and was suprised it was the phone.

no they didnt send me a tracking number and they also said it would arrive sometime next week although my sim was scheduled to transfer on the 20th. im on contract though so maybe thats why?

im talking about the 4S

I've noticed lately that for some reason there has been a rather significant delay in the track and trace updates. I too had the iPhone arrive well before it said delivered on the website, I suspect the reason for this is that not all of the people delivering them are couriers therefore not all of them have the automatic scanners on them. What this means is that they have to fill out paperwork when they are finishing the deliveries and then send it away to get inputted. In some cases this has meant there has been a few days delay on the tracking. I know this because they told me this when I rang about it and I noticed the lady had no scanner, and just pulled the sticker off.

i'm on 24 month contract as well, i was just wondering why it took so long.
i was at telecom sylvia park earlier and ask them about any progress. they just told me that it is being processed but can't give me any ETA. i was thinking of canceling my order and buy directly from their store, i believe they've got a lot of stock.

anyway, you're lucky you got your phone earlier. :)

Telecom are useless when you order online I had to cancel my sensation twice as it never turned up and when I went to the store, first they said that it was being processed then the next time the said it was not even ordered... So I got one over the counter instead THEN 3 weeks later 2 more sensations turned up on my doorstep with a $800 phone bill lol.. Took me another 3 weeks to sort the bill out but got there in the end. This time I went straight to the shop to get my iPhone 4s

I placed my entire order online and even paid via credit card, didn't have any interaction with a telecom Representative

So....back to the ownership of iPhones 4S.

Has anyone that's moved from a 4 to a 4S noticed a real-world improvement?

Personally, I have noticed a real improvement in the camera. That was to be expected, although I was already happy with my 4 Camera. The extra MP count helps with cropping and not being left with a pixellated mess. And they appear to be quality pixels, too - lens and optics in general MUST be better as they have claimed, to get the sort of improvement I have seen.

Games - FIFA 12 doesn't stutter anymore - that's refreshing. Only happened occasionally, but it was annoying on the iP4.

Other than that - just like owning a 4. Not a lot of difference.

I'm impressed with the 4S camera relative to my old 3GS but as someone who usually shoots with a Nikon DSLR I'd have to say that the iPhone camera is still strictly emergency use only for me personally.

I upgraded from a 3GS so the performance boost and the little extras like front facing camera and 900MHz 3G are very welcome. I don't feel as if there's anything ground breaking compared to my old iPhone, but I was already throughly satisfied with the 3GS and I didn't feel inclined to wait another year for the next generation so I'm happy with my decision to upgrade.

I ordered my 4S on the 8th through Apple, arrived today.

Unfortunately there was a very noticeable piece of dust stuck between the glass and the screen. I called them and they've now shipped out a new one.

It's disappointing and frustrating that I've had to return it because otherwise the phone is great. I especially like the camera and performance of the 4S. Oh well, I'm in no desperate need for a new phone.
