Brand new in terms of never having been used. Pick up Palmerston North or arrange sending.

I also have another that has been used and has been repacked in it's original box.

Please note - these are the older versions. I've had them carefully stored for the past 16 years.  I'd like these gone this week so will consider any offers at all.

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

I was amazed - I couldn't even give these away. They have gone to recycling to be broken up for parts.

Damn. Really? That's one of the classic model... should just give it away... maybe would've worth a "collecting" piece.

Nobody here responded. I didn't bother putting them on TradeMe because that would have cost me money to list them. I would have given them away to anyone that wanted them but mentioning here and on Twitter didnt get one response. It's a shame because they were in mint condition, never used, and complete unopened in their original boxes. Even the one that had been used a couple of times was back in its original box with all original packing and manuals. Because they had been kept packed away they looked exactly as they did when first released - not even any discoloration. Never mind, they have gone off to be recycled now.

I just didn't have time to muck around trying to find homes for tech gear. As a result, two year old 24" monitors, keyboards, and three <5 year old PC's got dumped into recycling. I had them out for two garage sales and advertised them in the local paper - not one response. Ironically, a 10-year-old CRT monitor sold for $20. Go figure :-(

I've had some similar type items - I agree it is not worth the time putting on Trademe for low value items. Once you factor in the success fee, the hassle of having to meet the buyer or time spent packaging and going to the post office, it simply isn't worth it. I normally just take things like that to work where there is a communal "junk" spot for used goods (that aren't broken). Everything always finds a home.

I've got awesome tech history coming out my ears. I think I must have been a magpie in a previous life ;)

I opened a cupboard in my garage and found the guy that was taking these for recycling had stored them away to pick up later. I don't want them broken up if they can be of any use to anyone.

These are seriously great - if you want one/all please let me know.

I'm broke so any donation in exchange would be welcome but, at the end of the day, I just want them being of use and not scrapped. PM me if you are interested.

Elpie - I am a fan of these keyboards, but prefer the ones with the inverted-T cursor keys. Are the ones you have all as per the pic (i.e. + layout for the cursor keys)?

I would still be interested as I would hate to see this stuff get binned.  And what else do you have left, if anything?

I've got the one in the picture, which is an OEM box. The picture of the box shows the inverted T - right? I have two of those. I didn't open the boxes to take pics of the contents as the boxed keyboards have not been used and are packaged beautifully, with all bits intact (booklet, warranty card, quick start & user guide, floppy disk).

Just to update before anyone gets too excited - I grabbed my glasses and took a good look at the small print.

These keyboards (the two in the MS purdy boxes anyway) are 20 years old. 1994 folks. They need a ps2 adapter. Recommended for MS-DOS 2.0 or Windows 3.1 if you want to take advantage of the MS software ;)
They are in pristine, as new condition.

I can't believe I hung onto them for so long. I need my head read.

These are still around and I need them gone before Thursday. So, anyone that wants one (or more) and that can either pickup in Palmerston North before Thursday or arrange shipping, then please PM me. These are donationware - will exchange for contributions towards coffee.

Cheers.

To anyone who is still interested in these keyboards, I picked up all three from Elpie yesterday, as it would be a shame to see them just go to the landfill.  I don't have any immediate use for them, but they are in great condition - if you would like one, PM me and I will sort something out.  Maybe a donation to the Elpie Travel Fund + shipping?
