I'm after a low power consumption computer that isn't a Raspberry Pi (because flash storage hates huge write loads)
Maybe a laptop (or macbook) with a broken screen, a SFF desktop PC. Those kind of things.
Needs to use under 100W of power.

Intel's Haswell NUC consumes less than 10W for Netflix SuperHD streaming (comparable with dedicated streamers). NUC as a HTPC FTW :)
