Update - sold and paid for... Thanks.

$170 free post anywhere in NZ or pickup in Christchurch (South New Brighton evenings, central city during the day)

Has spent an easy life running XBMC then KODI. Perfect unit. I'm only upgrading to get a newer one that supports UHD resolutions.

This is the best 1080P capable XBMC/KODI box I have found. Put an SSD in it and it's so close to silent. There is a fan in the unit but you won't hear it unless you put your ear up to the box.

Ask questions, might swap for a reasonable SSD (240+GB and not a Kingston or Crucial)...

Not wanting to pull the thread off topic in any major way, but why no Kingston SSD? We've sold dozens and use them ourselves with zero issues. (We've had more issues with early Intel SSDs.)

I have no doubt the drives work just fine, but it's more on principle than anything else for this sort of 'post-release BOM refresh'

Steam (i.e. Valve's steam) now has a home streaming option, where it will stream games to a smaller device (such as NUC) but do all the heavy lifting (rendering, AI, etc) on your main desktop. I guess he's asking if you've tried that.

Ah right - I don't play games (except for a brief foray in Elite Dangerous) and I don't use Steam so I have no idea. I have been running Windows 7 on it though.
