Sadly I have to sell my beloved projector and screen. The wife is getting sick of sitting in darkness all day every day :-(

The projector is in perfect working order, excellent PQ and hours around the 300-400 hour mark (I will update with concrete numbers)

Screen is an Elite Screen CineGrey 5D Ambient Light rejecting screen. Fixed frame

This is still one of the top rated projectors going around. I have the original box, remote and I think the manual.

I would prefer pick up in Christchurch, however if you're willing to sort out freight I would be happy to package it up for you.

Here are some screen shots. Can load more if people are interested

It really does put out a quite stunning picture.

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

Any indication as to what price you would be looking at?

And what size is the frame? I can imagine that would be a pain to ship - or maybe is could be transported to a depot?

Also any cabling included?

Price. About $3800

Screen is 110" (as per the thread title ;-))

Screen breaks down.

I can attest to the quality of this screen, I have one myself. It's breathtakingly good.

If you are considering projectors in this price range, I'd recommend it without hesitation.

Thanks for the vote mate.

IT's a beautiful picture. Put on a top notch blu-ray and it really sings. I very much do not want to off load this. But as they say, happy wife happy life.

Ignoring the size, how would this compare to my 65VT60 Plasma, picture quality wise (assuming with the screen)?

Well I've owned 6 very high end TV's though not the one you mention, and 3 Projectors. I'll never go back if I have a choice.

The 3D on this projector whilst not a reason I bought it, converted me to 3D. was the best I'd ever seen by a country mile. We watch sports, I game on it and we watch movies.

My wife wasn't happy when I wanted to spend money upgrading what wasn't technically broken, but would tell you now she considers it money well spend.

I have it on 106" screen on what I think is a 4.5M throw.

It handles light rooms pretty well, though it's obviously much much better without light.

The only thing I will add is that the VT60 will have the better blacks. It's part and parcel of the tech. Though with such high contrast on the projector you really don't notice it, You're too busy thinking "wow, I have a cinema in my lounge"

Also, I forgot to include that I also have 4 sets of 3D glasses as well :-) All official Sony ones.

I want this so bad! I don't suppose you have any plans to come down to Dunedin in the near future do you?

I have been looking for an excuse to go for a road trip....

I'm sure the wife would be happy to go for a drive.

PS. Dead serious. It would be a hell of a lot easier to pack it up and drive it down than it would to package and ship it.

Petrol costs would need to be covered, but that would still probably be cheaper than courier/posting

I'm also a bit concerned that I can't physically fit a 110" screen where I want to. Is this your screen? I'll check the measurements and see if I can do something.

Welp, wife is happy to come for a drive. Balls in your court :-)

Yes that's my screen.

Let me know how you get on with the measurements.

If you can't fit it I have someone that has shown an interest in just the screen, so can always consider just the projector. Though if you can fit it I would recommend both, great combination
