Hi,

My one-year-old son loves playing with switches, dials and buttons. Rather than stifling his interest, I'd love to give him an electronic button box like the one shown in the following links.

As I'm currently recovering from a broken arm I'm not able to build one myself, so instead I'd like to hire someone to build one for me. If you think you have the skills to build one of these button boxes, and are interested in a fun little project - please contact me. I'll accept both time and material based billing, or a fixed price quote.

Please be aware that you'll have to finish it to a high standard to ensure that there are no choking hazards.

A long shot, but when I was working for an Electrical goods imported we ended up with old samples of this type with various buttons on them that end up on shelves doing nothing until they are thrown away.

Not as elaborate as the picture you have shown but toggle switches, push buttons etc. Schneider Electrical, Rockwell, Vynco may be worth calling/ e-mailing and asking.

As much fun as it could seem to be, I would not encourage you to proceed. Kid is too young to play with that kind of stuff.

From quick view the box pictured has at least 7 "choking hazards".

As soon as you remove the toy from their site - they will find similar looking stuff around the house which could be dangerous.

Awesome idea.

I made a similar one for my kids using old switches and knobs. They used it for a while but got bored with it.

But I noticed visiting kids were always drawn to it and HAD to have a fiddle.
