Just wondering if anyone has one of these they no longer have a need for?

I've got one. Honestly, you can do most of the Android TV things on a cheap Xiaomi TV box.

Unless you're prepared to pay for overpriced ports of legacy PC games.

I've also got a Forge TV and a dead Ouya.

I have a

NVIDIA Shield Pro 500 GB Android TV Box with Controller

I picked it up in the UK a few weeks ago but don't want it. I only opened it and tried it out once. Make me an offer.

Have to disagree that S905 and MiBox (also S905X based) units are almost as good.....

Have a Shield and love it.

Android TV is great as a remote based interface - and it is a reasonable gaming machine as well - incl Retro gaming.

Voice search is cool - where it will search multiple sources based on your search request - Spotify, Youtube etc - and incl my SPMC library.

But where it really shines for me is video streaming - Netflix / Youtube (all the way to 4k apparently - but I don't have a 4k screen yet) and "Kodi".

And in particular SPMC where it plays all of my content incl 4K content and HD Audio tracks incl. Dolby Atmos and DTS:X - so I am finally getting the full benefit of my Onkyo 646 5.1.2 HT set up.

Stoked to have something which can do all this via my Harmony.

Highly recommended. :)

PS: Have got S905 boxes as well and while they are OKish - they are a pain for many apps where they often need a mouse to work properly. Also no where near the gfx grunt, gaming, speed or audio capabilities of the Shield. And obviously no Android TV or integrated voice search.

Have also ordered a MiBox - mainly because I like the Android TV interface for the family room set up - and to have a play - and because it is so damn cheap at $69 USD.
