HD Homerun HDHR3-DT

Networked dual DVB-T tuner, allows access to FreeviewHD over your network. Awesome little device, I just don't use it much lately. I've had it running in the past with TVHeadEnd which combined with Kodi for the client (XBMC at the time) made for an awesome setup.  Also worked well with Windows. Am not 100% sure I'll sell it but wonder if anyone is interested. I'll need to test it when I get home since I really haven't used it in an age.

Not really sure what it's worth so PM me offers or thoughts please.

Do you know if it works with Plex DVR?

I can give it a try - I'm currently running Plex at home but haven't tried the TV side of it...  (Though if it works I might not sell it :P )

Cool. I think you need Plex Pass for PlexDVR. Nice feature for Plex though where it will record series/movies to your Plex library for later viewing.

Hi Rob,

Happy New Year.

I used the HDhomerun with my plex server to watch TV, I did not ask it to record as the plex server was on my NAS box.

It was slow to change channels ( aprox 30 seconds ) but again it was probably my NAS causing that.

I was able to watch freeview on an android device but never got it working with the Ipad.

How did you do this? This does not sound like Plex DVR as it does not support live tv?

I dont remember to be honest, I enabled Plex on the NAS as I was told I could watch movies on the Ipad with it, after a bit of stuffing around with the HTPC I got live TV from the HDhomerun.

I was not diving into code level or anything like that.

It was a couple of years ago.

Sorry didn't have time to try this, though this appears to suggest that it won't work with Plex DVR:

So I was reluctant to pay for Plex DVR given that the above seems to suggest it won't work.

However, I did get it working with my Xbox One and I've gotta say the HDHomerun app on that is pretty cool!
