So a bit of a silly one here..

Went out and bought a whole new system case and all and forgot the embedded power supply!

Looking for a 80W 12V (6-8A) DC power supply, I'm sure someones probably got one laying around from their laptop..

Sadly all the power supplies i have around here are 19V or way under the required load!

Alternative ofcourse is picking one up on trademe or paying the extreme prices at the likes of jaycar!..

40w is a tad too low.

I did slap together a 48v psu and 48-12vdcdc but seems my 48 is failing or something..

As a last ditch i used the 12v 55w bgan psu to test power on under no load but did not feel comfortable running on that for risk of harming iver end.

If you've got an Xbox 360 power supply they have a beefy 12v rail on them you can quickly hack up to use.
