Hoping that someone has 1 or 2 of them sitting around. Or hopefully someone does heatpump installs, meaning they would be ripping out lots of them. Don't care if they are old and grubby, as long as they work. Will be bodging them into the rumpus room and the garage that is my hobby room.

I would have liked to get some split system units, but planned renovations mean that they would have to be moved later which is a pain. And sizing would also be difficult.

I have a medium-large window rattler that was superseeded 2 years ago but never removed.  Access is relatively easy.  It has a 15A plug on it....  looks like a normal N power plug except the Earth pin is taller than normal.

Is this of any interest?  If so I can test it on Monday morning and send you photos/dimensions.

Location is west Auckland.

@Dynamic yes definitely interested. Would you need help with patching up the hole in the window?

Here's a couple of photos of the unit.

It's around 65cm x 45cm at the face, and around 65cm deep.  I just had it running and it was firing out cool air virtually immediately and still running file after 20 mins.  I have no reason to think it would give you any trouble.  The right hand 'silver selector switch' is just sitting there and to change it you pull the silver knob off and use a paid or pliers to move it.  This changes the mode to cold or hot, and the high/med/low is just the fan speed.  We just had it set on Medium(fanspeed)-Cold and used the switch on the power outlet to switch the unit on and off.

The drip catcher is DIY (funnel into a hose in my case) but if the back end of the unit is outside, dripping onto a large rock or paving stone would be fine.  It didn't come with a mounting bracket when I bought it on TradeMe 4 years ago, so my mounting was DIY.

I cannot see any model information on the unit, and the confirmation email from TradeMe doesn't say anything helpful.  Of course the link to the historical auction details has long expired.  I paid $305 this time 4 years ago.  The only reason we stopped using this was that we got access to a one-time discounted split model which had the advantage of the motor/fan unit being able to be mounted outside which was a bit quieter.

I've PM'd you my mobile number.  If you decide not to continue, post here in case someone else decides they want it.

Cheers
Mike
