Looking for a 1060 6GB as a birthday gift for my son. Max $300 budget. In case someone planning to upgrade :)

Have seen some selling in TM between 340-360, so hopefully $300 would cut it given there is no TM fee.

Could be looking to sell mine, but not likely for a month-ish after the new cards come out.

When do you need it by?

Yes, with the 20xx range due for release I imagine you'll see a number of cards pop up on trademe for sale shortly. That'll be your best bet I reckon depending on how long you can wait.

My son's birthday is on 11/09 so hopefully I get it a day or two before that so that I can hook it up on his PC in the middle of the night :)

It actually started, have seen and missed a few listings in TM. Just need to hold off due to limited budget :(

I have one and was considering an upgrade but paid $600 a few months ago so $300 is definitely not gonna cut it.

Was aiming for those who have already enjoyed theirs for about a year to consider my budget :)

Yeah, fair enough. well, if you find another $150 to add to your budget and want a very recent MSI GeForce GTX 1060 Gaming X 6G (including warranty leftover and paperwork, give me a shout)

the new cards will not be out in time for me to upgrade for this, so mine will likely be advertised around the end of next month.

I understand. Hopefully a few would post in TM today given the discounted fees.

I have a brand new (ish), has been open and only used once, RX 570 4GB, ASUS, if you are interested.

Performance wise they are comparable, depending on the game, at most around 8% slower.
One comparison review here: https://www.techspot.com/review/1411-radeon-rx-570-vs-geforce-gtx-1060-3gb/
Although this reviews the 3GB version of the GTX, which only has the disadvantage when playing above 1080 resolution.

Bump. I can do a straight swap with a White PS4 with 640GB HDD and 1 controller in case someone is interested.
