I have just upgraded so selling off my old kit - would prefer to sell as a unit but not completely averse to splitting the gear up if sensible offers are forthcoming!

Full Tower HAFX 95 CoolerMaster Case (about 7 years old)

i7 4790K CPU "Devil's Canyon" - about 4-5 years old, NZ New from PB

16Gb G-Skill DDR3 (2 x 8Gb) 1866mhz - About 18 months old

Gigabyte Z97 SOC FORCE MoBo - about 4-5 years old, NZ New from PB

1 x 250Gb Samsung SATA SSD - about 3 years old

1 x 500Gb Crucial SATA SSD - about 3 years old

1 X 1TB Seagate HDD

850W Bronze Corsair PSU

ThermalTake FRIO High End CPU Cooler

Original Chassis fans

I have the original box for the motherboard but not for anything else, nor any of the case accessories etc

All runs perfectly - never given me a problem. The case shows usual signs of wear and tear consummate with age.

Happy to provide pictures or additional specs/details as needed.

I have added up what I think the components are worth from a scan of various sites and I am looking for $650 ONO - Collection/delivery/rendezvous in AUCKLAND Only.

Cheers

Happy to take offers on just the MoBo, CPU & RAM if that is more appealing than the whole package!

Just wondering, what's "NZ New" for a CPU rather than a Japanese car? Does that mean it had previously spent seven years in a Bitcoin mine in China? :-).

You would have to use the on-board graphics as it doesn't include a separate GPU. Would work fine for general desktop computing, but not for games, or video editing etc.

If you wanted something more powerful, I could sell you my Gigabyte GTX1070 G1 with it - which is still a very capable gaming card - but they are still going for around $350-400 on their own.

I would do the whole thing plus the GTX1070 for $900 which would be a pretty decent deal IMHO

Funny you say that... but the second hand market is completely flooded with 7-10 year old Xeons. Go on Aliexpress and you can pick up anything from that era for $20.

Holy *bleep*, you're right, under $20 in some cases for what used to be high-end Xeons.
