Sooo, my trusty fileserver isn't getting turned on now that everything has been moved off to an 8-bay NAS and I'm wondering whether this will be of any interest to any of you before I consider breaking it up...

Specs:

Norco RPC 4220 20-bay rack-mount case, with quiet fans installed (original fans & housing available also)

Gigabyte Z77-D3h board

Intel Pentium G620 cpu

8 Gb ram

Intel SSDMCEAC 120Gb primary drive

Areca 1882IX-16 with BBU (bbu not showing at present, probably because it's been off for a while, so assume no battery present)

16 mixed 3Tb drives... 8 x 3Tb WD RE3's (1 x 2012, 5 x 2013, 1 x 2016) , 2 x Seagate ES.2 (date code 11412), 4 x ES.3 (2014) and a couple of Hitachi's from 2011 as hot spares, all set up in a Raid 50 array, showing 33.5Tb of usable storage.

4 x Seagate 8Tb Archive drives, which I used to manually backup all of the data from the arrays onto, and then powered down and physically pulled them an inch out of the case so they sat not even powered on.  I'd be surprised if these have done more than 100hrs use (2015).

Activated Windows 10 Pro.

Has not been used all that much and has a good bunch of life left for someone who wants that bit more space.

Replies/PMs welcomed.

Sorry... in Tauranga.

Driving to Kerikeri at Easter if that’s of assistance.

Forgot to mention that I’m pretty sure it runs a 1000W psi.

I’d open it up but there’s a large NAS sitting on it right now.
Might do that later tonight, then I can take some under the hood shots for the curious.

I would if I could figure out where the edit button has gone.

Imported the case from Aussie.

What sort of ballpark price are you looking for the unit?

Also that case... thats the main thing im after too (let me know if you are parting). But curious to know what sort of price the OP is looking for the lot.

Offers of $1500 and up are being negotiated (and are acceptable) by PM at present, so if anyone’s keen in that area, they need to be making offers.

If you're looking to sell the 4x8TB drives separately, I'm very interested.

Just in case it suits anyone... I’d be keen to swap this complete, for an iPhone XS 256/522Gb that either has AppleCare+ or is still eligible to have it added (<60 days old)

Thanks.

Looking like the 4 x 8Tb drives are going to be split off - have sent a PM to the current best offer.

Fileserver will now be available with the same setup and the top 4 x bays empty, (so less the 4 x 8Tb drives), or I can add 4 (I have 8 of these) x 3Tb Hitachi 0F12450 7,200rpm drives (https://www.newegg.com/global/nz-en/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822145465)

Open to all offers...

Hi.
They’re not Reds, but RE-something’s.
I believe all the drives (about 24 all-up) are 7200rpm drives.
I’m in Oz for a week so probably can’t confirm exact models, but was thinking $50 each for the enterprise grade Seagate and WD (which are all the newer ones) and 35 for the Hitachi ones (which are older).
