I purchased a 2012 Mac Mini from GZ and recently while cleaning the internals of dust I have damaged the fan connector such that the fan no longer turns on.

It still boots up and runs but Mac Fan Control reports 0 Fan RPM and CPU temps hit 100.

Can anyone recommend an Apple repairer. No warranty issues so independent is fine.

Any AASP will only do board level repairs, not component level. They will swap a new logic board in, but will not repair a damaged plug. You will need a place that does electronic repairs instead.

Use Sergio, he works from home in Te Atatu. Fully equipped including silicon oven. He's my preferred choice in any Mac hardware repairs, no matter how difficult. In over 100 repairs, he's never let me down, workmanship always impeccable & very reasonable pricing.

He currently has an old C2D Macbook Air that he's replacing EFI chip & reprogramming. Next job is a 2013 15" MacBook Pro with faulty discreet graphics card - he'll replace the mosfets on the graphics power supply line to solve that problem.

Just by way of update, I have had Sergio diagnose and fix my Mac Mini, as it turned out I had damaged the connector for the IR not the fan, and the fan issue was caused by burnt out capacitors. Sergio's services are very good and his pricing is exceptional.

I have him now looking at a dead Macbook 13 (2012). Lets hope he can work his magic.
