The iphone itself is new and has not been used as it was a warranty replacement.
I cant fnid the headset.. yet, it has a 3 year warranty on it which started at the beginning of the year through harvey normans.
Looking for $900 as it has an expensive warranty on it and the phone is new.

Let me know if you're intrested would rather sell it to someone known on geekzone before i put it on trademe

Congrats on the sell, but...

The extended warranty from Harvey Normans, wouldn't the consumer acts have covered you anyway? Would have saved you some money (cause those extended warranties are very expensive for what they are)

hey well not at all really, consumer guarantees act covers for a reasonable period of time, 3 year on a cell phone doesnt really fit that. Ive worked in retail and for me to get a warranty is very rare, none of my laptops have them but for the amount of iphones i have had die on me, it was well worth it.

Are iPhones a notorious for failing? (I don't own one)

I am a little bit grey with the CGA in terms of what it covers, but I thought the way they determine how long the device should last was based on the initial cost of it. I.E. a $100 phone should last 1 year, but a $1100 phone should last 3 years.

I think 12-18 months is considered OK for cellphones, no matter what the cost.

+1  to this. It does factor in price into the "reasonable length of time" Also no offence but in my experience retail staff are usually the least knowledgeable when it comes to rights under the CGA.
