I'm getting impatient waiting for the One and the S4 isn't enough of a step up over the S3 for me to "upgrade"

The Butterfly has a great screen, good size, apparently a fairly decent camera.

Would love to see a Butterfly vs One review.

I can't comment directly on the One, not having received mine yet, but from reading widely about it I would these are the main points of comparison:

One has:
Better materials
Better speakers
Better SoC (Snapdragon 600 Vs S4 Pro, same GPU, not that much in it in terms of the user experience I expect)
4G/LTE

The Butterfly has:
Basically the same screen, except slightly larger at 5 inches (similar footprint, Butterfly marginally wider and 4.6mm longer marginally thinner) - size a matter of preference
Micro SD slot

I think build quality won't be a lot different (One seems more variable in that regard from user reports).

The camera comparison will be a mixed bag, the Butterfly will resolve some more detail in good light being 8mp, the One will shine in lower light situations and have better video recording (distortionless audio capture). Overall I think the One will have the better camera, but it depends a little on the scenarios you shoot in most.

How does the modded t5p sound against the t1?

I just changed jobs and the gap between pays is 2 months :( be tempted to get them and the amp too if it wasn't for that

I've had only the briefest listen with the T1 and not with my own source gear and reference tracks, so hard to compare. The mod certainly increases bass quantity to levels like the T1 as I recall it, which is what most listeners of the T5p want (myself I actually prefer the sound of my unmodified pair).

Butterfly down to $600! I think I will just give it to my brother if it doesn't sell soon.

OK, my brother wants to grab my One when I am done with it - HTC Butterfly for $550 up for grabs.

Xperia Z for $600, minor scratching at bottom of screen, still under Mobicity warranty.

Dayum, if I had $550 I'd take it off your hands.

What colour is it?
