netspanner: Definitely NOT an Android user.  The point of Android is that it is totally configurable. If you can't handle that then you are better off with IOS

Aaroona: I understand where you guys are coming from, but I'm pretty sure it's not quite what I want.

I don't particularly like the stock keyboard, but the keyboard I do like that I've found is something I have to pay for... that's something I don't find very intuitive. The keyboard should not be the first thing I need to change when I get a phone, let alone pay for it.
.

lol i didnt get that either, even ios for example, dont like the stock camera?, buy a better app from the app store, or find a free alternative one.

its the exact same thing on android, but with so much more control in the sense that you set your default apps based on what you like not how you bought it.

Learning to live with its short comings... I'll get a mod to close off the thread. I'll keep it till the new iPhone comes out and see how I feel then... who knows, I may be a total convert before then.

Aaron, maybe get a local Android geek (need to know where you are) to sit down and show you what you can really do with Android, or possibly run you through what it can do vs what you want to do?

+1 Stick with it Aaron. I really think you have the best hardware on the market. It just takes a bit of getting used to... You could actually set the S4 to act like an iphone if you wanted to..... I use google keyboard and swiping is awesome once you get the hang of it.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

(The S4 (and latest S3 4.1.2 updates) come with Swype built in anyway, it's licensed from Swiftkey.)
