iPad Air 2 64GB - $550 buy now

Probably not what you're after Ludez, but a very good price for that model and spec for anyone interested.

That is pretty good, although someone has already bid. Retails for down to $750 ish when on special. I have one and they are great, although the battery life isn't as good as my older ipad 2.

That's a shame, the auction will sell for above $550 now.

That's interesting about the battery life, didn't know that. I just picked up an iPad 2 for $150, only because it was a good deal. Still deciding whether to keep it or not. Definitely a bit has a bit more lag than newer models, but still does everything that most iPad users need.

I think the ipad 2 is the best ipad they made, although it is obviously out performed by the newer ones. Buyers of it got great value from it. I believe it does have a larger heavier battery in it, which is likely why it has better life. The airs have smaller batteries, but are supposed to have battery life as good, due to using less power, but in practice I haven't found that to be the case.

Yeah wasn't expecting to pay $100 for an ipad 2, sorry should have worded it properly.

Thinking around the $150 mark for one

OK slight thread hijack, shoot me if you like but

I know nothing about iPads, but would one of them as in an iPad 1 be ideal for reading graphic novels/comics etc

as i regularly buy deals like the below, but they don't work well on my little antiquated android tablet

https://www.humblebundle.com/books/my-little-pony-comics-idw

And i thought an iPad ones a decent size beastie and it should be fairly idiot proof for a simple task like this, especially if they are around the $100 mark as thats really all id want it for

And normally its adult books I get, but well i have a daugter and My little ponies not the worst thing out there

And another dumb question as I have never used an ipad, are the screens ok for reading with on the ipad 1s and is the 9.7" viewable area or the size of th tablet?

iPads are excellent for ereading, but in an older one like that you may fnd battery life to be a bit short if you want to read (or use) it for more than 'a few' hours... The extra $50 for an iPad 2 would definitely be worth it though, as it's (amazingly!) still supported by the latest iOS too. It would also be a couple years 'younger' and praun early have a better battery then too?

I'd be a bit worried about an iPad 1 just because I know when I sold mine with the latest OS it was able to get it was pretty sluggish although I was reading books (text) on it no problem at the time. Now that I am so spoiled with high res text I wouldn't want to go back. I read a lot of books on my current iPad which is the first model that came out with a lightening connector, so I guess that's a model four. Hubby has the one before mine with the older style connector and it still trucks along great despite the horrible way he treats it. I've had  look at comics on mine (curiosity) and it does comics just fine.

edit: by the way even an iphone or ipod touch will do books (text) pretty good because you can zoom the size up as big as you want. Not ideal but useful if you're stuck in the doctors office or something.

Edit: The auction above was $150 buy now. Now a bid has been placed so it's gone.

Jeesh that went fast, that would have been ideal, it always amazes me that even with a cheap price like that people still try an get a $10 buy now
