Shapenz:

That could be the ticket then - do you mind sending me the guide / info you used?

those smaller Nuc’s are easier to get past the wife..... less chance she’ll notice I’ve another toy 😂

@Shapenz Happy to send you an install usb thumb drive if you end up getting one it would make it a lot easier for you. I take no responsibility though.

In saying that once you get used to a hackintosh they are very easy to maintain now-days.

Also more than happy to provided you support if you have any issues. I have setup a lot of them over the past few years.

@JaseNZ that is a super generous offer but in a strange twist I ended up Googling that model of Nuc you suggest for Hackintosh which lead me to here - https://github.com/osy86/HaC-Mini

Fast forward a couple of hours and I managed to get the Hades Canyon running OSX

I did have to do the install twice because somehow the first time I messed something up and keychain wouldn't sync - but otherwise I can't believe how easy it was.... saved me $2k over buying a Mac mini with the sameish spec.

I even had a compatible WiFi card in an old Dell laptop so got WiFI working.

I'm still syncing everything across but so far it's working brilliantly

Nice @Shapenz ,  I did have a play around with mine but at that stage there was nothing for the graphics acceleration, Glad to see they have ironed it out. Some good savings of your dosh right there. 😄
