nova: If you are in Auckland jayj: Has a few which he wanted $50 a pop for on TM. I'd have gone for them but I'm in Chch.

nzkc: What was the weather station distro? With the B+s POE is an option, although the POE hat costs about as much as the Pi.

Anybody else: Does anybody have an HDMI Pi display they want to unload? I can get one for about $35 off eBay, but that would mean waiting.

I was doing it myself :)  As a way to learn a bunch of tech.

I picked up an Adafruit BME280 sensor here: https://www.adafruit.com/product/2652

Used that as a way to get into some Python and more PostgreSQL.  I had compiled the latest versions of PG onto the Pi (yep it takes a while) and was writing into that.  At the time I was also sending the data up to Datadog (they had a free tier that I think may have gone now).  I had plans to buy a rain gauge and an anemometer at some point and add them in.

If I were to do it today, I'd write to InfluxDB and use Grafana to display it.  Would be quite easy to do that.  However; I think the sensor may be dying as it gives bogus results now.  That or my soldering failed (after a few years mind).  Its not active at the moment, though I'm tempted to revive it.

I had considered PoE, however, that'd mean an investment to get that sorted too.  I'd really hoped to do some kind of Solar + Battery approach.  But found that a bit too confusing (dont know enough about electronics).  Also the PoE hat didn't exist at the time....oh and this was on a Pi Zero anyway.

Yep! I've got 3 x 3Bs here looking for a new loving home!

$50 a pop and I can send via $3 Trademe Book a Courier for urban places (or pick up in Auckland).

I also have a bunch of components and sensors I need to get rid off - will photograph and make a post this weekend.

(I'm moving countries end of year, so need to clear A LOT of tech stuff)

$3? I mean they're pretty inexpensive on Ebay... I guess I should have put a price on all of them... but happy to do a bulk deal.

I'm after one or two 3B+ if there were any still available (apologies for resurrecting an old thread for those that completed their business already).

I am after a 3B as well, pref with power supply, thanks.

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

I have two raspberry pi 3b+ in wellington

$50 with plastic standard pi case

$60 with fancy metal case

Pretty much brand new, didn't use them much as ended up using a intel nuc for home assistant instead.
