Want to setup some dog tracking stuff so the house alarm isn't set off when the dofus dog is inside.

how big is your dog in kg? Are you planning to have the motion sensors disabled when the dog is inside?  A better solution may be to swap out your PIR sensors with pet-friendly models.

You're not on Atlantis anymore, Duncan Idaho.

I have a Xiaomi Aquara setup, and my PIR sensors are little battery ones.  I could just move the sensors, it's just one has a perfect view of our lounge but that's also where the dofus dog flops when he's waiting for us and we've ducked out for 30 mins.  I don't know if it's possible to replace their sensors with pet friendly. He's pretty big too ~28kg. He sets of the backyard ring floodlight and it's in "people only" mode.

Everything's integrated into Home Assistant, using node-red, so writing automations is really easy.  I'll be leaving all sensors enabled, I'll just change the "Trigger Alarm" one to check if the dog is in the room that motion was seen.  If so, ignore it.  That way all other PIR sensors/door sensors etc will still trigger the alarm.

The "alarm" as such just pushes messages to me and my wife, and makes all the Chromecast audio/speakers say "You have triggered the silent alarm".  Oh and the backyard ring floodlights screams if it's motion out in the sheds.

It's just when it goes off at the moment I have to open my HA app, look at camera, confirm it's just the dog again and then go back to work.

I have some Kangaroo security sensors. Their instructions to make them pet friendly...

Mount the sensor upside down

Seriously.
