doesn't stop there i was running QEMM memory manager as well, gotta get the full 640k base memory allocation. (well think it was more likely 635k)

My poor old 386SX-16 really suffered, while i tried to squeeze out the last bit of power.

Didn't help that my 3.5" drive wouldn't recognize spanned zipped disks and the bios battery was flat resetting the bios settings every time i turned it off. ....good times......not.

We had XTree Pro; to this day I'm not sure whether that was better or worse than Gold!

5.25' floppy's were good for Frisbee's and not much else, tried to double space one once. think it went from 1.2MB to 2MB. Back in the days of X-Tree Gold and Dos 6.2 or 6.22 if you were fancy.

5.25" floppies were barely adequate as Frisbees. By comparison, I recall that the 8" floppies had much better aerodynamic qualities. We used to be able to fling them right across the office floor, whereas you were lucky to get 4-5 metres of travel out of a 5.25" one.
