Hi,
I'm trying to get an internet connection on my Toshiba M-30 Satellite laptop through Bluetooth and my Sony Ericsson T618 cell phone here in China. I've got a China Mobile SIM card that allows the cell to access the Internet. I referred to your very clear directions on setting up a Bluetooth Internet connection for a laptop; I've also seen the thread "How to dialup H2210+SonyEricsson P800 via BT connect to Internet in China" (started 22/09/2003). I set the dial-up number for the Internet connection to *99# as advised in that thread. When I do this, I get the message that I'm connected, but if I try to open my browser (Mozilla Firefox) or Outlook, neither can access the Internet. You mention that "init string must be +CGDCONT=1,"IP","cmnet" ", but I'm not sure what an init string is or where to enter it. Also, where would I enter "IP" and "cmnet"? Or am I completely confused and should be doing something else entirely to connect?
Thanks!
