Hi everyone,

Just curious about whether gps on a Toyota Vitz that I have bought recently.
Its a jap import vehicle, and  it came with a lcd monitor and dvd player which can be used for gps navigation, however, I don't know how to go about making it work.
Does anyone have any experience with this model?

Thanks

Not sure about your model vechile, but a friend has a jap import with built in navigation also.  Same scenario, it requires DVD.  He had no luck as maps aren't available for NZ for the unit.  So he's always driving around in the ocean and at the port where the car left in Japan :)

99% of the navigation units that come in imports don't seem to work in New Zealand, mainly because a lot of them require brand specific software discs that just aren't available over here.
