Have a Navman Ezy40 and had problems with it accepting pin and then it said we didn't have any maps loaded.

Tried to re-load software and registry keys and it now just has on the screen (when disconnected from the computer) a symbol indicating it's connected to a computer and will not turn on properly (just keeps showing symbol which is a computer, with dots to a USB symbol and then dots to the navman symbol with an x on the screen).

Short of calling a helpdesk, can anyone help?

thanks

Tracy

Hi,

Not ever having seen, let alone touched a Navman I can only suggest some common sense ideas.

Can you still access the data in it when it's connected?

If you can, copy any data you don't want to lose onto your PC.

Try a factory reset. If it's a software problem this may fix it.

Failing that you may have to contact Navman for support.

Good luck,
Peter.

Take it back for an exchange or refund, especially if you have only purchased it recently. You shouldn't have to go through fixing a new product really. Sounds like the maps weren't installed properly.

thanks, have had it for about 3 months and it's worked perfectly up until now.  When connected to the PC, I can see that we have the New Zealand Map loaded and the voices but that was only after re-loading them and it took a bit of work to even do that.

Will ring support tomorrow.  It was a gift which was bought through reward points scheme so not liking chances of getting a receipt for a refund/exchange.
