My sons got into GeoCaching and my Samsung galaxy maps accurate to about 15m. Any suggestions on a decent GPS / Map device

I have a Garmin Vista CX which is very good although the 60c, csx are even better. Try and get a Garmin if possible as they are compatible with Geocaching.com and you can transfer the cache coordinates straight onto the device via the website and a web browser addon. The newer H models have a higher sensitivity and work under tree cover better. You could get a "Garmin-Asus A10" phone which would be just as good.

Cheers

A Garman Etrex H will do the job well. It's the most popular entry level GSP for caching.

I've used one for a year or so now with great accuracy and no issues. It's worth noting though that accuracy of your unit isn't everything in geo caching, the accuracy of the GPS used by the person who placed the cache can mean that the cache isn't quite where you thought it was.

My username is splattynz - one of my caches is http://coord.info/GC2GAHW

It's a great pastime and a good way to find places you never knew of.

Get into it!!
