davidcole:freitasm: Similarly, my parents-in-law are going around in their travels and I am their only Google Latitude friend. It's very good because they couldn't ever be taking time around to "check-in" or remember to send an EchoEcho request to let us know where they are.
Latitude is automatic, nothing else. Easy to use. Simple.
Just Google trying to push more people to Google+. Again.
EchoEcho other way around, you'd request where are they.
So unless there's another similar service, only find my friends on IOS does what latitude did?

EchoEcho v.4.2
So now that latitude is retiring maybe you could add a feature where
for selected users you don't need to respond to an echo request. Your
phone would always respond.
ha - we already have that - it's called "favorite" - just click the star next to the person's name...
