Looks small on the dogs but was it kinda bulky on the cat's collar?

Our cat keeps losing it's collars - especially as now all the collars for safety have a break-away clip, and I think he's worked out he can just hook it on something and yank it off. At least with one of these I could find the collar if not the cat! :-)

Or not if he sheds it in drain culvert or under a house :)

He often comes hme with whiskers covered in cobwebs - so has been somewhere dark and gloomy for sure and there's probably a pile of collars there too.

Trackit doesn't really do standard-sized Cat tracking. They may however do larger Cats and potentially those larger weird digging Cats.

I still think that nobody have got what Tractive have got yet (the app, the hassle-free subscription etc). All the other trackers require a SIM etc where the Tractive device uses a roaming sim that supports both Vodafone and Spark. I saw them at CES too this year and their new trackers are pretty decent.

michaelmurfy: Fitbits (apart from the ionic) use the phone for tracking. This won't work.

It has occurred to me that it'd be a lot simpler if I could get the cat to carry a phone.

I once put a VHF tracker on my cat. Tiny little thing that puts out a pulse every few seconds. You track it using a Yagi antenna and a belt pack. (you see them on TV when some reporter wants to show people tracing Kiwi or some other protected thing).

You look like a total tool using it... anyway I found where my bloody cat was going (Golf course) and he walked with me back home. From then on he would always come for a walk with me and the dogs...funny things cats

Anyway I know that may be of no help at all, but if you have a university with a Zoology dept. or a DOC office nearby they might let you borrow one.
