Is anyone else receiving a text from an 021 number which is in chinese or similar. When translated it says - Hello. I do not know your advertising set. Please advise or similar. It doesn't bother me too much, just curious if others have received it. I now have the number black listed in GoSMS

PM me the number and I will have a look for you. If it's coming over the interconnect link then it's really coming from Vodafone and JohnR can have something done about it. If it's coming in from international SS7 then it's more complex.

Unfortunately I don't see any traffic for the suspect number on the interconnect link. This means it's not coming 'legitimately' from a Vodafone subscriber, which in turn means neither I nor JohnR can guarantee anything. I will pass it along to the switching people to look for it in the signaling records. We *may* be able to identify the sending address and block it.

But if it's someone like Clickatell then hyrda-like it will simply rear another spiced pork product head elsewhere shortly.
