Not a complaint, rather curious if I am getting the most / best from my connection. This attenuation & SNR is all gobbledegook to me.

Chorus Service Availability Tool says I am connected to 'HK/Exchange' which is 750 / 800m by road (depending on the route taken). Interestingly there is a cabinet 150m down the street in between me and the exchange.

Slingshot speedtest ranges from 6.5 - 9Mbps Local & anywhere up to 3.5Mbps LAX, dropping to 3Mbps Local & 0.5Mbps LAX during peak times.

Dunno what other info you may need but how does it look so far?

Probably should add upload is usually 0.8-0.9Mbps regardless of server and time

Your connection itself looks pretty good. What is letting you down is your choice of ISP:

With a better ISP, you could be enjoying a much faster international speed at peak times. 0.5Mbps to LAX is just plain dismal...

I have to admit, peak time testing is only done when there is an issue with Youtube & Netflix
continuously buffering. This happens (at a guess) around 40% of the time when I visit these
sites (during peak hours).
The other 60% of the time there is no problem, so I dont test, therefore I have no idea what
speeds I am getting.

All up, streaming video would account for (rough guess) 40% of time spent (not data) during peak hours.

During the day I am at my PC so randomly do speedtests. At night I am usually on the couch with my tablet so as above, only run a speedtest when there are problems with streaming (on the PC)

After doing many master splitter/filter installs this last couple of months I'd conclude that unless you have a master splitter installed, then the answer to your question is NO!

10Mbit line rate for 29dB is ok

Agree that you should make gains from a master filter install, +2-4Mbit downstream maybe.

I agree, this line looks fine.

If you are as close as you think and the Noise margin is what it is, there is a possibility of line faults so give us a call and we can troubleshoot with you.
