From the Orcon network status:

"19/05/12 10:07 am Potential Webmail Issue
Some users may experience issues when they log-in to our webmail service. This is currently under investigation. "

It hasn't been marked as resolved yet, and I have the same problem. Actually more of a problem, as using an email client isn't working either for me.

No problem for me - just logged on to webmail and through my email client with no problem.  So either the problem is fixed or not affecting all users.

The stuff article says 10%

Can other users still download email over pop/imap? Is this the free one they provide, or part of their hosting?

I checked webmail and then downloaded via POP3 about 5 minutes ago but have noticed the lack of email over the weekend..

Hi all,
We've had around 50 customers report this to us. We are manually fixing them, so if you have having issues, drop the helpdesk a line and they will get an engineer to fix your account.
Sorry about this.
It's certainly not affecting 10% of our customers - Stuff has corrected this I believe.
Thanks

I'm getting mail again, though everything before Saturday is now missing.
And imap folders other than inbox are not accessible yet.

Jarno: And promptly Stuff has some stuff:

How does something so insignificant make the news, honestly reporters / editors must be desperate for stories.

Someone should sign them up to the chorus wholesale informer emails, they'd have an absolute field day

This is stuff...

A dead cat stuck in a drain pipe would produce better stories than their reporters....

Honestly I think some news agencies are going around looking at creating stories that alarm.Normally it is telecom that they report every little outage on. That is the problem with technology, outages occur. But it is not as though it is a plane or car crash. I mean that Auckland drains story that a news agency dredged up is a case in point in terms of creating news.
