Tried to email them about an issue which has seen the client software move everything in a folder into the recycle bin on the server.

Emailed feedback@backflip.co.nz as the site says to, got a failure from callplus

The following message to <backfliphelp@callplus.co.nz> was undeliverable.
The reason for the problem:
5.3.0 - Other mail system problem 550-'5.7.1 Sender ID (PRA) Not Permitted'

So yeah. I have a feeling I have been wasting my time and money with it since the client seems to have issues so often that things go into the recycle bin and need to be reuploaded when the drive is reconnected that I never actually can recall a backup actually completing.

Now I have the VDSL on snap and can upload over the $5 for 3 days offpeak, and the flatrate slingshot connection means that any online backup provider is basically zero rated I have little reason to continue with backflip other than that they have a few 100 gigs of stuff there that may (but probably may not) be a recent backup of important stuff.

Hi,

Backflip is a seperate company from Callplus and Slingshot, I just tried to send them a test email and had no error.

Have you tried contacting them again since this? Was this sent from a Callplus/Slingshot email address?

There is another email address on the site - sales@backflip.co.nz maybe you could try this one just in case it works.

Thanks,
Ben
