So my Genius up and died today. It won't boot, just turns on with all lights blue and static. No wifi, Can't Factory reset or anything. No idea how it happened though it wouldn't surprise me if it was a bung firmware update pushed through by Orcon.

Support is a joke. They told me they'd send a replacement then backtracked and said tier 2 was going to do some tests on the line and get back to me within 24 hours. Yeah sure lets test the line for a proven device fault! I'm quite angry about that but anyway....I'm waiting for them to call and admit they were wrong to even waste time considering that line of testing.

Some research says I maybe able to still get into the device and restore a firmware bin. I checked the download location for these on orcons file server but they're no longer there.

Anyone with a full genius here able to export a bin for me so I can give it a try?

Yeah I have no idea, it's just a theory anyway I have no way of knowing for sure.

Spoke to them today and they've sent a replacement. The courier bag for sending my faulty one back arrived this morning so i guess if they'd just listened to me in the first place I've had had the replacement by now.
