Quite interesting result, managed to get around 34-6Mbit/s capacity fully used, and during the test I was surfing the web and viewing youtube, without any problems, laggs etc.
Another thumbs up for snap!

sidefx: Nice. I take it removing those couple of unused jackpoints had a positive outcome then? :)

Haha, not quite. I went under the house just to see how it was all wired up, it all connects to 1 jackpoint. So I just plugged my fritz into the jackpoint which connects straight to the box outside our house.
SamF: No need for a master splitter if you have naked DSL with only one jack!
Zeon: Even it it all connects to one jackpoint, aren't there still opportunities for the signal bounce back (I think thats the concept anyway after skimming over sbiddles post). I'd suggest disconnecting the other jacks and see if that helps.

then daisy chains off that one jack point. it's how most older houses work.

Yes, it's my understanding too that even if it connects to a first jackpoint, if other jackpoints are still connected they can adversely affect DSL. Completely disconnect them is better, then no need for a splitter - you can still wire the remaining jackpoints to a FON\ATA port on the Fritzbox was my impression, without any need for a master splitter.

Spot on! But why bother wiring them back in to the ATA. Just use the DECT base station in the Fritz =)

True, though in my case I found that the cheap panasonic DECT phones I have don't do caller ID properly when registered with the Fritzbox as base station, but it does work fine when plugged into the FON port. I believe at least one of them is GAP compliant, but it still doesn't do caller ID from the fritzbox.
