Hi Guys,

I have just put my order through, very excited to join SNAP :)

Question for you:

Do you host DNS or Domains? I have a domain with Orcon and I use it just for mail no websites etc. So do you have a similar service available?

I couldn't really find anything on your website....but I could be blind.

Cheers

Hello,

Yes we sure do host domains, actually we were looking at some stats the other day and some of our older domains have been hosted one our network for coming up to 20 years! (if anyone can remember Southnet or NetAccess)

If you would like your domain hosted just contact us at support@snap.net.nz with the UDAI and we will move it over, you will be able to update records in realtime via MySnap

Thanks.

Do you also provide mail service with domains? I currently have that with Orcon, where I have name@domain going to mailbox. I will need 3 mailboxes.

benmurphy66: what is the cost per domain?

New Domain is $70 for first year and then $50 from there on wards.

Transfers of a domain is $50 a year

I must say so far I am really impressed with the customer service. Love talking to someone in NZ :)

Yikes! You've got to be pretty keen handing over that sorta cash for domain names each year.

Hi All,

Answering both questions, at the moment you can't transfer from the Snap portal, that is coming very soon - if you email us the UDAI key then we can move that into the portal for you.

For the pricing, that has actually come down as of last week, our new pricing is $34.95 + GST per year, although not the cheapest in the market we do offer 24/7 support, if you need it (hopefully you don't! but when you do need support for your domain you want to know you can get it!) you will also be hosted on NZ based unicast DNS servers located in AK/WN and CH which if you have NZ based clients is quite important. (and they also support IPv6!)

Thanks,
TheRalph

So the transfer of the domain is free (from what i read in your website) the $34.95 is the yearly cost?
