Just got VDSL up and running today. The Chorus technicians weren't great at first, but were eventually persuaded to run cable a bit better than they'd planned. The connection is lovely — 43M down, 10 up.

Snap themselves aren't impressing me though, as they don't seem to answer support calls in a remotely timely way. The first couple of times I had to call them I was on hold five minutes each. I've currently been on hold for 17 minutes (!) and have moved from position 4 in the queue to position 3.

I kind of have to speak to them as the phone service isn't working. Bit of a pain.

Gave up after 26 minutes on hold. Unimpressed.

I just got connected yesterday and my experience looks to have been the opposite to yours. The chorus guy didn't have to do any wiring with us, literally walked in, did a speedtests then left.

Speeds are good at 33.5 DOWN and about 11 UP

My experience with Snap phone support has generally been good. I've never had to wait more than 5 mins and the reps have been very friendly and very easy to understand. (A contrast to other companies)

Sucks about your experience, evenings are obviously going to be the busiest time - I've had wait times of 40+ mins with other ISPs. At least you're getting nice speeds though!

Cheers

Yep, I think I lucked in during my time with Vodafone - couple of minutes at most. See what happens tomorrow I guess.

dont hold your breath about hold times , it depends when you ring i had to call them 6-7 times last week and i worked out how long i waited and it was just under 2 hours on the phone but they so much busier than they were when you would get someone after 2-3 rings and they are adding more resources

Common sense is not as common as you think.
