just curious, do slingshot hand out static IP addresses by default, i dont think ours has changed since we got broadband connected in june 2008. just thinking about it since i've memorised it and all and id be mildly iritated if it changed in the future.

Sounds like a sticky IP, so it could change at anytime but more than likely not.

On the money. You'll be on a dynamic IP so there is a possibility it could change. A static IP will set you back about $10 per month.

Dynamic IP with quite a large timeout before it gets a new one if I remember correctly, I'm fairly certain I had the same IP for the entire year I was with Slingshot. Quite a nice system really, Good for those who could do with a static IP but its not vitally sensitive and can adjust stuff if it changes now and then.
