I wanted to say well done to Orcon provisioning. We ordered new IP space including IPv6 space for our office connection (delivered over vodafone fibre), after it sitting with premium support for a few weeks we finally found that our old account manage had left and we needed to submit a form to our new account manager who rang us.

Anyway once we gave them the form, it was turned around quite quickly (like a week) with good answers to some detailed requests and an understanding of what we wanted to achieve. This included IPv6 setup which worked off the bat.

Well done provisioning! Just need to get reverse DNS delegation on IPv6 working now :)

I am assuming that the "Well done" for a system that leaves jobs hanging because a staffmember has left is sarcastic? Because I would be giving them a bolloxing for that happening.

I'd half expect things to fall through the cracks with an account manager changing.  As long as he found out that his account manager left he could make sure it progressed.

It's so common for ipv6 reverse to not be working.  It seems it's more common for it not to be setup than to be setup.  Even google don't have proper reverse dns on their ipv6 routers etc.

It's a proper well done for the provisioning team. It's such a change from past experiences with provisioning which has been a bit disastrous.

Yea the situation with the account manager is not very helpful... especially as we didn't find out for ages that the old one had left.
