I'm aware this has been discussed before but I think the problem may still be ongoing...

I'm have issues on my Snap UFB connection with IPv6 enabled (Fritz!Box) when accessing sites such as Facebook. The content such as photos which Facebook offloads to its Akamai CDNs/Caches fails to load. As soon as I disable IPv6, the content loads correctly.

I've confirmed the problem by using a couple of different browsers on a couple of different devices with IPv6 enabled and then disable. Trace routes and pings to the Facebook Akaimai caches all resolve and make their way through to the end point correctly.

Anyone else having similar issues?

No issues on IPv6 via Unleash or Orcon. They have CDNs available on IPv6 too.

I am not sure if it's related to IPv6 or UFB, but on an ADSL2+ connection I have here I can't get the Windows Phone Facebook app to load content. As soon as I switch the phone to my other connection (Vodafone cable) it works.

Interestingly this is the only app I ever noticed having this kind of problem.

Not really use the connection for Facebook (except for the tablets and smartphones connected via WiFi) since this connection is mainly used by my home server. But tried loading some Facebook pages now and noticed a few broken images, e.g.

Interestingly enough I just installed the IPvfoo Firefox port and re-enable IPv6 - it seems the first re-load of the page tries to pull a lot of content from the CDNs via IPv6 which results in a timeout but then another refresh of the page and a lot of the content gets pulled over IPv4. Do browsers/CDNs/servers/routers adapt in this fashion or I am just seeing something odd?

*sigh*

It's 109 new likes on that page, and as I am one of the admins it shows the notification on top. It's not friends requests.

If you don't know what you are talking about better not to say anything.

Have you modified your MTU in any way

Until recently you couldn't use the Tomato USB firmware w/ ipv6 and snap due to MTU issues. Victek worked with a Snap user and fixed this, so not sure if you've changed MTU at all on your OS or Fritzbox

Sorry if you feel it was harsh, but it didn't read like that to me.

Haven't changed anything and the settings below look normal to me?

as a random thought, considering your also using a fritz there

does the ipv6 issues go away if your enable IPv6 port forwarding on your computer?
