Hi all
IPv6 was working with my UFB and Fritz!Box then disappeared. All network settings seem fine. However, there is no access through the Fritz!Box interface to check if its enabled in the router (no idea why - it may have always been inaccessible since I never looked before).

Are those settings usually enabled? If so, how do I get them? Anyone have clues as to why IPv6 has vanished?

sometimes i find after a resync ipv6 doesnt prop up, normally dropping my PPP session fixes it in a snap.

ipv6 is flowing nicely for me.

try using the ip address instead(http://192.168.178.1/ by default.), or rebooting, your computer probably has your ipv6 ip cached for your router, causing some confusion.

otherwise, your on UFB, your not going to cause any sort of DLM changes by doing a reboot or two of the fritz, sometimes it needs a kick in the pants to get back into gear.

I've done everything I can think of - from flushing DNS, deleting the ARP cache, etc etc - and rebooted the Fritz!Box (and my PC) twice. No change. I still don't have those options in the Fritz!Box and its still not using IPv6.

I've even deleted and reinstalled my adapter with a fresh download of drivers. Nothing.

i read your first post as you cant access the fritz at all, if this isnt the case, are you simply in the simplified mode on the fritz UI by any chance?

That's whats really weird - both standard and advanced views are the same. It's not changing over. It's the same regardless of browser used.

Well, guess what? The kick in the pants worked :-)
I'm going to call Snap in the morning re- the UI issue. But, for now everything is just peachy. Thanks for your help.

You can easily check if IPv6 is working by looking at your own IP address. When the Fritz can't get an IPv6 prefix from upstream it advertises a unique local prefix that will begin fc or fd while if your router has obtained a global unicast prefix will begin, if you're on Snap, with 2406:e000
