Not sure what information I need to provide? But I have the Snap 200/200 plan and yet my downloads take an age. Just downloaded a 51MB file and it took my nigh on 5 minutes?

What stuff do I need to post that would provide better details of my connection?

Much appreciated

As a first step try a speedtest and post your results: https://www.speedtest.net

Often the speed of the download is limited by the speed on the server side (wherever the file is 'stored' on the internet) so it's hard to judge whether it's your own speed that's the problem, based on the time it takes to download some random file from somewhere.

If the speed test is giving you poor results too it's best to call up snap and check whether your connection has been set up properly. I remember when I first joined them they had accidentally set me up as a 30/10 plan even though I was paying for 100/50. Only took a few seconds to correct though.

NO issues with speedtest. It wasn't just this file, movie downloads and game downloads are also just as slow

Generally top out at about 3MB

Best guess is the computer giving you the 51 mbps file has poor upload speeds or congested by many people trying to get stuff off it

Most likely the server you are downloading those files from.
I have the 200/200 plan and I am not seeing any speed issues. From some international servers I can max out my connection so its pretty fast!

Also a stupid question for some, I assume you are testing this on a wired connection?

If speedtest is okay it sounds most likely that the bottleneck is on the server side, and there's not much you can do to improve that. Where are you downloading from?

Same here. I can often max out my 200 down from some international sites.

just because you have a 200mbps connection does not mean you can download every file on that internet at that speed.

there are many many factors that can influence the speed you get a file at.

if you speed-test result is fine, then the problem will up an upstream server or where you are getting the file from
