I am having terrible issues with steam downloads.. seem to be capped at 35kb/s.

Also with downloads on a particular website also capped at 35kb/s.

My installation of ubuntu is also unable to access the repository to download software - times out.

I can run a speed test and get my rates 100mbps down and 20mbps up no problem (On UFB).

Have restarted modem - No Dice.

I have only noticed this today. Was fine of Friday.

So not sure if it is just Steam, but I'm getting around 14kb/s from Steam currently on my 20meg VDSL connection; however general downloads seem ok at around 2mbps...

I'm seeing this with Steam and a bunch of other things - on a 200/200 connection.

If I set my Steam download location to any NZ server I get very slow download speeds:

BUT if I set my location to Australia I get pretty quick (still a little slow for my connection) speeds:

I thought I was going crazy earlier with downloading some Kyrocera drivers and having them download at around 10kb/sec, using a download manager wouldn't work. Thought it was WiFi so switched to Ethernet with the same thing.

There was issues a week or so with steam downloads of NZ caches...

Ild say that relates to the speed issues there once again..
