Hi all

1) If I was to factory reset my 2d supplied FRITZ!Box 7490, what settings are required to be entered for 2d VDSL?

2) When migrating from 2d VDSL to 2d UFB, what changes need to be made or again in the factory reset situation, settings need to be entered?

Just a username and password in both cases, plus selection of inbuilt modem / port 1 WAN?

Thanks

The Fritz! should auto-configure itself if you're using it with the 2D account it got set up to. Otherwise, just your standard 2D/Snap user/pass.

So factory reset, plug into the phone line, done? The TR-069 thingo takes care of the user/pass?

Indeed. It'll do a first connect, download settings then reboot. Takes on average 5mins for a configuration to happen IIRC.

I don't have a Fritz! to test this theory anymore but when I did it was pretty seamless.

Cool, makes sense, so when I first received it someone at 2d hadn't put my user/pass in, it did it itself on first power up, rad.

Thanks.

Hey Scott,

Michael has it in one, your modem will have our factory default settings in it for your connection type, and will log in to our TR069 system and retrieve your account specific information.

When changing connection type from xDSL to Fibre, there are a couple of settings that need to be changed, and will need to be changed after each reset, but this is nice and easy. We are working on a way around that too :)

Thanks,

Ralph ^JOB
