Hi,
Today is the big day. Where is the tech? The guy who put the ONT on the outside of the house said he would connect my home up. But that he never works Saturday. Chorus rang to confirm everything was set for this morning.

Can you phone them to find out where they are?

As your service is sold (I presume from MyRepublic as you have posted in their forum) have you contacted them regarding the install?

The Chorus person is just a contractor to do the work (maybe from Transfield or alike) so calling Chorus will get you know where.

It's not the ONT on the outside of the house, it's the ETP. A fibre run will then go between this and the ONT which will be installed inside.

Depending on the situation it's pretty common for two different teams of people to do these jobs. As MyRepublic are your RSP, you need to contact them.

Thanks guys, my mistake(s).   Broad Spectrum should be here between now and 12.  The Chorus guy said he was doing the final hook-up.  He said he drinks Heineken.... they are icy cold in the fridge.  Whoever turns up will get them....

And the moral of the story is: it's better NOT to share (when UFB is concerned).
